NOVEMBER IS TECHNOLOGY MONTH

Millennium Series Continues

Each November, The CPA Journal abandons its usual mix of feature articles to focus on technology and how it can empower the CPA to achieve professional excellence and success. The Millennium Series, begun in June, continues with a technology emphasis, this month examining the way the Internet will shape the future interaction of CPAs in practice and industry with their clients and customers. The Internet will become the bridge to clients and customers obtaining information from the CPA, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Other articles discuss some of the latest developments in technology; from Linux, the free operating system that has proven a stable alternative to Windows; to XML, the new markup language of the web; and to the many choices in computer and communications equipment to assist the CPA on the go--and more. *
