WHAT'S NEW ON THE WEB

Wall Street Journal Targets Startup Businesses. In an expansion of its online offerings, the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition has launched a website directed at the small business professional and entrepreneur, www.startup.wsj.com. The site collects instructive and relevant material on starting or managing a business, along with select information from the Wall Street Journal. The emphasis is on being a comprehensive resource for the small business professional.

Resources include the following: a library of business plans in a number of industries to provide a beginning for the startup capital-raising process; a comprehensive database of venture capital firms, broken down by sector specialty; links to top national franchisers; and listings of business opportunities and businesses for sale.

IAFP Allies with Financial Plan Auditors.com. The International Association of Financial Planning (IAFP) has allied with Financial Plan Auditors.com (FPA) to make it easier for users to find a financial advisor. The joint website, at http://www.fplanauditors.com/affiliates/iafp , links the FPA resource site with the IAFP's referral program and its Planning Pays Off.org website. Planners participating in the IAFP's referral program can also participate in FPA's advisor directory.
